Immune Boost was formulated to provide comprehensive immune support with six essential nutrients:* vitamin C, zinc, vitamin D, N-Acetyl L-Cysteine, quercetin, and DMG.

Vitamin D, provided as the well-absorbed cholecalciferol vitamin D3) form at a dose of 62.5mcg (2,500 IU) per serving, is an immune system modulator that promotes healthy T-Cell and macrophage responses.

Zinc (as Albion® Zinc Bisglycinate Chelate), an essential mineral, is found in almost every cell of the human body and stimulates the activity of approximately 100 enzymes. Zinc serves many functions in the body like immunity, gene expression, protein folding, enzyme function, and wound healing. Many research studies have shown that zinc induces improved immune response during infection, such as increasing CD4 T cells and T lymphocytes. Additionally zinc may reduce the duration and severity of cold symptoms.

DMG (dimethylglycine HCl) is a metabolic enhancer that helps the body overcome various forms of stress such as aging, poor oxygen availability, free radical damage, and a weakened immune system.* As a methyl donor it contributes methyl groups to keep ATP levels high. Quercetin belongs to a water-soluble group of plant pigments called flavonoids found in fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Quercetin has been studied for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, and anti-viral activity along with immune and liver support. Quercetin helps support healthy respiratory and immune function and reduce allergic response.* For example, it was shown to reduce respiratory tract infection rates among athletes. Animal models of autoimmunity showed that quercetin exhibited immune modulating effects.

N-Acetyl Cysteine is a derivative of the amino acid cysteine. Cysteine is one of the building blocks of glutathione, which quenches free radicals and helps the body detoxify harmful agents. N-acetyl cysteine is useful in respiratory infections as a mucolytic: NAC breaks the disulphide bridges of glycoproteins in mucus, thereby resulting in its reduced viscosity and elasticity. In other words, NAC helps make it easier for the body to expel excess mucus.
