CEU Course – How to Incorporate Functional Medicine into Your Practice

This two day continuing education course is designed to teach a process to incorporate a Functional Medicine practice in an existing Chiropractic practice. This course presents tools that the Health Practitioner can utilize to immediately begin using Functional Medicine protocols.

Content will include covering the basis of Functional medicine, difference between Functional Medicine and the standard Medical Model, Functional Medicine Tools, Therapeutic applications, review of Homeopathic, Herbal, Nutraceutical supplementation and Clinical Applications, marketing of a Functional Medicine Practice and examples of various clinical cases and what to do in each one.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of the Seminar the Attendees will be able to:

  1. Understand Basic concepts in Functional Medicine
  2. Do a Functional Medicine Case History
  3. Learn to Utilize the Following Tests and Understand the basis of each one as it relates to Nutritional Deficiencies and Body System Imbalances: Saliva Analysis, Blood Analysis, DNA testing and Food Allergy Testing
  4. Utilize Acupressure points to determine Body System Imbalances-learn how to identify terminal end points (acupressure pts) on the toes and feet and associate them with specific body systems using the PIEZO instrument
  5. How to Incorporate Microcurrent Therapy for Healing and Pain Reduction
  6. How to Utilize Symptom Surveys to correlate Specific Nutritional Therapy with Body System Imbalances
  7. Uitilizing Various Nutritional Therapies
  8. Utilizing Symptom Surveys to Manage Hormonal Health and treatment protocols including specific nutritional supplementation. Using various methods to Manage the health of the Adrenal and Thyroid Glands
  9. Marketing A Functional Medicine Practice to Your Patients

Friday, November 15th 1pm-5pm

What is Functional Medicine and how to use it to support Chiropractic care-using nutritional therapies and healing foods to compliment the correction of vertebral misalignments.

2PM-3PM

Do A Functional Medicine Case History-how to review body systems such as the Circulatory system, Digestive system and gain information to find the cause of the problem.

Utilize a Symptom Survey and Correlate with Nutritional Deficiencies-specific questions correlate with specific nutritional deficiencies to help you find the cause of the problem

3PM-4PM

Tools in a Functional Medicine Practice-Electro-dermal screening (Bioenergetic testing)- A device that utilizes acupressure points for assessing energy imbalance to determine the weak areas of the body and find the cause of the health challenge and correlate with specific nutritional supplementation

How to use terminal end points (acupressure points on the fingers and toes) to assess weak areas and correlate with specific nutritional supplementation.

4PM-5PM

Overview of commonly used Nutritional Therapies

It will include an overview of Glutatione and Nucleotide therapy as well as Nutitional Therapies I use commonly in practice.

Saturday, November 16th 9am-1pm

9am-10am

Utilizing Microcurrent therapy for pain management and accelerated healing to compliment the Chiropractic practice. This is a form of frequency healing with multiple health benefits.

10am-11am-Using Saliva testing, Blood analysis, DNA testing and Food Allergy testing to determine the causes of the health challenge and use specific nutritional supplementation

11am-12pm

Utilizing Symptom Survey to Assess Hormonal Health

Treatment Protocols to Balance Hormonal System-including specific nutritional supplementation

Various methods to assess the Adrenals and Thyroid and specific nutritional supplementation to manage the healing of both

12pm-1pm

Marketing a Functional Medicine Practice-Using various marketing techniques-1. Health talks 2. Social media 3. Email blasts
